History

The Church of God In Christ of Altamonte Springs, Florida was established in 1936 with Elder Wilson as Pastor and Mother Gertrude Lark as the first convert.  Elder Wilson was followed as pastor by Elder Rice, Elder Alexander, Elder Beacham, Elder Hood and Elder Floyd Johnson.

Under the leadership of Elder Floyd Johnson, the church was renamed to Love Tabernacle Church of God In Christ.  Elder Floyd Johnson went home to be with the Lord in 1989.

In 1989 Elder Richard A. Butts was appointed pastor of Love Tabernacle by the late Bishop ML Sconiers.  Elder Richard A. Butts has pastored Love Tabernacle from 1989-2010.  In June of 2010, while seeking God for guidance concerning direction for the ministry at Love Tabernacle, God spoke to Pastor Butts and said "you have served Love Tabernacle well."  God also said "It is time for you to lead my people to a new deminsion and demonstration of Prayer, Praise and Power."  God told Pastor Butts to rename the Church using the following scriptures: Isaiah 56:7, Psalms 22:3, I Peter 2:9 and Luke 10:19.  From these scriptures the church was renamed to "House of Prayer, Praise and Power, Inc."

God is blessing our church.  Souls are being Healed, Delivered and Set Free through Prayer, Praise and Power.
